Chocolate Filled Crescent Rolls

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup                           Milk
  • 2 ¼ tsp                        Active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup                        Sugar
  • 1/2 cup                         Oil
  • 1 tsp                            Salt
  • 3                                  Eggs
  • 4 1/2 cups                    Whole Wheat flour
  • 100 gm                        Cooking Chocolate (shredded)
  • 1/2 cup                        Butter  melted

Method:
Heat milk until warm but not hot. Dissolve yeast in warm milk and keep aside.  In mixing bowl add oil, sugar and eggs. Beat until creamy and light pale in color.  Add milk and yeast mixture in. Beat to mix them together. Now add one cup of flour and beat again until smooth. Add one more cup of flour and again beat for about 2 – 3 minutes.  Add 3rd cup of flour and beat again, if you are using hand beater then it will be really hard at this point. Just beat enough to combine/smooth. Add examining 1 ½ cup of flour and knead the dough for about 4 -5 minutes. Dough should be very sticky. If  its not then add little more milk. Make ball of the dough oil it well and put in a bowl and cover with damp cloth. Let it sit for about 1 -2 hours or until its double in size. Once it reaches to double the size, take the dough out and knead again for just a minute. Divide it in 2 portions. Make ball of each portion and roll with rolling pin in circle like pizza dough. Make sur eto oil your working surface well. Cut each circle in 16 equal pie shapes. Put one tablespoon of shredded chocolate on wide end of each pie and roll them in to crescent starting from wide end.

Put them on oiled baking sheet and  let sit again until they are double in size, time vary depending upon room
 teperature.

Bake them for about 15 - 20 minutes in preheated oven at 176 degree celsius .

When done you can brush them with melted butter, but its optional.

Enjoy delicious homemade whole wheat crescent rolls. Especially kids will love them.
